Watch them grow!

I thought you all might like to see how much our little babies have grown in the last three months!

Here are some photos of our preemies, Small and Cupcake.

They were so tiny! We were afraid to handle them.

Here are Small's then and now pictures.

And here are Cupcake's...

It's been so much fun to watch them grow! Small was 1.8 kg when he came to us at 1 month old, and Cupcake was 2.5 kg and 2 months old. They are now nearing 5 kg! Cupcake is known by the caretakers as the "magogo" (Grandma) of the house since she is the oldest (even older than Princess, who is much bigger than her!)

Princess was one week old when she arrived.

She was so young and woke up every night to cry.

Now she is sleeping through the night most nights! She is developing a personality and likes to smile and laugh. She still likes to be held a lot!

Little Guy was one of two babies who were here when I arrived. Doesn't he look like Princess in her first picture? We call them our "twins." (The preemies are the other set of "twins.")

Now he's enormous, and sporting a double chin. Speaking of which, his blog name no longer fits him - so we'll refer to him as Big Guy. He insists he is a growing MAN and needs to be fed OFTEN. He makes this need known by loud, lion like roars (usually in the dead of night). He's convinced he wants to be a BIG STRONG DUDE and needs to drink his milk!

Squishy has gotten quite a bit bigger too. All of the clothes that fit him when I got here have now been passed on to Big Guy.

He is 9 months old now and is sitting up alone and army crawling (but only backwards). He rolled over once or twice to show off, then decided that is for sissies. He made his first escape yesterday - backwards out the patio door. He likes to joyfully wave his arms around, pull my hair, and always likes to have a buddy nearby. He LOVES Baby Einstein (maybe a little too much...).

I'll leave you with a couple pictures of Owlie! She hasn't had time to get big yet. She is two and a half weeks old now.

She might be sleeping here (in the daytime) but she is living up to her nickname! She is still so little and new. =)

Well, that's all for now! I hope you enjoy watching them grow as much as I do. =)

There were four in the bed...

There were four in the bed and the little one said

"Roll over!"

"Roll over!"

So they all rolled over...

...and one...

...FELL OUT!

There were three in the bed and the little one said, "Roll over! Roll over!"

So they all rolled over....

...and one....

...FELL OUT!

There were two in the bed and the little one said, "Roll over! Roll over!" So they all rolled over and one fell out...

There was one in the bed and the little one said,

"GOOD NIGHT!"

Baby Home Photos - Funnies =)

I got hold of the card from the "official" baby home camera tonight, and there were some photos that were too good not to share! Some of them are old, from when I first came in January, so if you're wondering why Sunshine is still here...she's not. ;)

"Can't a guy even take a nap in privacy?"

"They have no idea what I just got away with."

=P

Powerful, Akani, powerful...

"I SAID I didn't want to be in your selfie!!!!!"

"Help me!! They're letting the giant bear eat me!!"

Bumbos: providing sleeping children with proper neck posture worldwide.

"Seriously, Mom?"

"You think double chins like this just happen?"

"Think happy thoughts! Sunshine and flowers and...poop. I think I need to poop."

"The Bumbo is eating me! Help!"

"Hi. I'm Megan. I love babies and my beautiful smile lights up the room!"

"What is this thing and how did it get on my lap?"

This is before she realized she'd be up all night with the new baby.

Ach, the stripes....OCD sufferers beware.

Auntie Abbie leading a circle of babies in rousing campfire songs.

Little (Big) Guy and Princess were having an emotional moment and had to hold hands for moral support...the songs were just too touching. Many tears were shed.

Auntie really put her whole heart into the songs. LG and P continued to support each other during this tearful time while Squishy stood by to offer counseling if needed.

Cool dude!

"Bahahahahahahahahahaaaa!!!!"

"You said you were going to put me down for a nap?"

"That's a funny story, tell another!"

"No really, I'm being serious. Naps bring on an allergic reaction in babies. They start crying and their face turns all red and wrinkly."

"Welcome to my crib."

"Sorry about the space, I've had it since I was a baby....this just isn't the kind of place that grows with you. Think it's time to start looking for a new hood...."

"I SAID TAKE THIS HAT OFF OF ME!!! MY MINIONS ARE NOT OBEYING!!!"

"There's a monster. On my head. ITHINKIT'SGOINGTOEATME."

"Come on bro, let's race!"

He Knows My Name

There's a little lullaby I like to sing to rock our babies to sleep...

I have a Maker....

He formed my heart;

Before even time began,

My life was in His hands.

He knows my name;

He knows my every thought,

He sees each tear that falls

And hears me when I call.

"For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them."

Psalm 139:13-16
